Volume 9

Filmstock: Fuji Superia 400

Camera: Nikon EM

Lens: Nikon 100mm 2.8

Back to the blog after getting overwhelmed with test rolls from various cameras and a busy schedule. These images are from a Nikon EM I found at the thrift store in Albuquerque. For $20 it was an great deal considering the 100mm F 2.8 Nikon f mount prime lens. Most of the photos had a light leak and the body is limited to auto function only. Probably won’t shoot it again, but the FG has new glass!

Out for a walk around the neighborhood to test the EM. Point and shoot meets SLR. With two FM’s and an FG in the collection, the Nikon design and build is all too familiar. The only change is the stark lack of controls, just “off” and “auto”.

I really how the color white is rendered in Superia film. Clean, slightly cool with no color cast.

The closest green space to me is the university golf course a block away. After the tee times are done for the day the course transforms into a busy dog park during the evening hours!

I took the EM on a road trip to Utah this spring to work on a Smartwool shoot with Fisher Creative.

The terrain at Brian Head was very interesting form a geologic perspective. Seeing red sandstone cliffs covered in snow was amazing to see for the first time!

It was great to meet Bree and Max on this uniquely southwest trip with spring skiing at Brian Head and mountain biking in St. George.

Lucky shot fo Bree on the bike. Manual focus with moving subjects is tricky!

It was great to work with Fisher Creative, especially as Mark is a fellow Nat Geo Adventure photographer!
